SKU GF-222-54X100-RL

6.0 mil matte white semi-rigid printable vinyl featuring a clear permanent acrylic adhesive, easy-handling construction, and compatibility with solvent, eco-solvent, latex, UV-curable, screen, and UV offset printing applications.

Characteristics

The General Formulations GF Concept 222 Matte Permanent Vinyl 54" x 100' White Semi-Rigid is a professional-grade printable vinyl designed for general signage, decals, nameplates, die-cut lettering, point-of-purchase displays, and other interior and exterior graphic applications.

Constructed from a 6.0 mil matte white semi-rigid vinyl film, GF 222 provides additional rigidity compared with thinner flexible graphic films. The semi-rigid construction makes the material easier to handle during fabrication and installation, helping operators position and apply graphics quickly and efficiently.

The smooth matte white surface provides a versatile printing platform for wide-format digital graphics. GF 222 is engineered for compatibility with a broad range of printing technologies, including solvent, eco-solvent, latex, and UV-curable inks. It can also be used with compatible screen printing and UV-curable offset printing processes.

GF 222 features a clear permanent emulsion acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive that provides dependable adhesion for applications requiring a permanent graphic installation. The clear adhesive helps maintain the appearance of the white vinyl while providing the bonding performance needed for properly prepared compatible surfaces.

A 90 lb. white, two-sided PE-coated kraft release liner supports the vinyl during printing, converting, cutting, and handling. The liner is designed to provide reliable roll processing for professional graphics production environments.

With outdoor durability of up to three years, GF 222 provides a practical solution for short- to intermediate-term exterior graphics as well as indoor applications. The material offers good dimensional stability along with good resistance to water, humidity, and solvents when properly printed and installed.

The 54" x 100' roll size is well suited for wide-format graphics production, providing ample material for signs, displays, decals, lettering, and other commercial graphics projects.

Its combination of a printable matte surface, permanent adhesive, semi-rigid handling characteristics, and broad ink compatibility makes GF Concept 222 a versatile choice for sign shops, graphics producers, display manufacturers, and other wide-format printing operations.

Usage Tips
  • Make sure the application surface is clean, dry, smooth, and free from dust, oil, grease, wax, and other contaminants before installation.
  • Allow printed graphics to dry and outgas completely before application or finishing.
  • When using solvent or eco-solvent printing systems, allow sufficient time for printing solvents to completely evaporate from the vinyl.
  • Inadequate solvent evaporation can allow residual solvents to penetrate the vinyl and may negatively affect material performance.
  • Maintain an application temperature of at least 40°F.
  • Test the vinyl on the intended substrate before beginning full production, particularly when working with unusual surfaces or coatings.
  • Use appropriate cutting and finishing settings for the 6.0 mil semi-rigid construction.
  • The additional rigidity of GF 222 can make larger graphics easier to handle and position than thinner flexible vinyl films.
  • Store unused material in a clean, controlled environment and protect it from excessive heat, moisture, and direct sunlight.
  • For outdoor applications, consider expected exposure conditions when determining whether the material's up to 3-year outdoor durability is appropriate for the project.
