GF Concept 223 Matte Removable Vinyl 54" x 100' White Semi-Rigid
6.0 mil matte white semi-rigid printable vinyl featuring a clear low-tack removable acrylic adhesive, easy-handling construction, and compatibility with solvent, eco-solvent, latex, and UV-curable wide-format printing applications.
Characteristics
The General Formulations GF Concept 223 Matte Removable Vinyl 54" x 100' White Semi-Rigid is a professional-grade printable vinyl designed for temporary interior and exterior graphics, including general signage, decals, nameplates, die-cut lettering, point-of-purchase displays, exhibits, architectural graphics, and glass applications.
Constructed from a 6.0 mil matte white semi-rigid polymeric vinyl film, GF 223 provides greater rigidity than conventional thin flexible graphic films. This semi-rigid construction makes graphics easier to handle, position, and apply, helping simplify installation and making many applications possible even without a laminate.
The smooth matte white printable surface provides a versatile platform for wide-format digital graphics. GF 223 is engineered to accept a variety of inks commonly used in professional digital printing systems, including solvent, eco-solvent, latex, and UV-curable inks.
GF 223 features a clear low-tack removable emulsion acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive designed for temporary graphic installations. The low-tack adhesive provides sufficient adhesion to compatible surfaces while allowing graphics to be removed when the promotion, display, or temporary signage application is complete.
The removable adhesive makes GF 223 particularly useful for storefront graphics, window decals, temporary signage, promotional displays, POP graphics, exhibits, and other short-term installations where permanent adhesive is not desirable.
A 90 lb. white two-sided PE-coated kraft release liner supports the vinyl during printing, converting, cutting, and handling. The tight-release liner provides reliable support and dimensional stability for professional graphics production.
GF 223 provides outdoor durability of up to three years, while the adhesive is designed to provide removability for up to one year under appropriate application and environmental conditions. This combination provides flexibility for both short-term promotional graphics and longer-lasting temporary signage.
The 54" x 100' roll size is well suited for wide-format graphics production, providing ample material for signs, window graphics, displays, decals, lettering, and other commercial graphics applications.

- Ensure the application surface is clean, dry, smooth, and free from dust, oil, wax, grease, and other contaminants before installation.
- Test the vinyl on the intended substrate before production, particularly when applying graphics to painted, coated, or specialty surfaces.
- Apply at temperatures of 40°F or higher for standard applications.
- For glass applications, GF 223 has been cold-weather tested at temperatures as low as 10°F; environmental and surface conditions can still affect adhesion.
- Allow printed graphics to dry or outgas according to the ink manufacturer's recommendations before cutting, laminating, or installation.
- Use appropriate printer profiles and perform test prints when setting up a new printer, ink system, or media configuration.
- The semi-rigid construction makes GF 223 easier to handle during installation than many thinner flexible films.
- Use GF 223 when a removable adhesive is preferred over the permanent adhesive found on GF Concept 222.
- The material is particularly well suited for temporary storefront graphics, promotional decals, POP displays, exhibit graphics, and window applications.
- When laminating, select a compatible overlaminate appropriate for the intended application and expected service conditions.
- Store unused material in a clean, dry environment at approximately 70°F and 50% relative humidity.
- For applications requiring removal, remove the graphic within the manufacturer's recommended one-year removability period for best results.
- Always test adhesion and removability on the actual substrate when surface compatibility is uncertain.
