SKU FTP-48X48X24-ECON

Durable, stain-resistant polypropylene screen printing washout booth featuring a spacious 48" x 48" work area, raised screen floor, integrated chemical shelf, LED lighting, and vent-ready construction for efficient screen developing and reclaiming.

Characteristics

The Econ Washout Booth 48" x 48" x 24" provides screen printing shops with a durable, economical workstation for developing screens, washing out stencils, and performing routine screen reclaiming operations.

Constructed from stain-resistant polypropylene, the booth is designed for the wet and chemical-intensive environment of a professional screen room. The polypropylene construction provides resistance to commonly used screen cleaning solvents and chemicals while creating an easy-to-maintain work area for everyday screen processing.

With its generous 48" x 48" booth dimensions and 24" depth, the unit provides ample working space for handling screen printing frames while helping contain water, overspray, and reclaiming chemicals during screen cleaning.

A raised floor keeps screen frames elevated above accumulated liquid and solvent in the bottom of the booth. This helps keep frames out of contaminated runoff while providing a more practical working surface during screen development and reclaiming.

An integrated brush and chemical shelf keeps frequently used screen-room supplies conveniently within reach. Operators can keep scrub brushes, reclaiming chemicals, ink degradents, emulsion removers, and other supplies organized near the work area instead of repeatedly moving between the booth and separate storage.

The booth is also vent ready, allowing shops to incorporate it into an appropriate ventilation system when required by their screen-room setup and chemical processes.

A centrally positioned LED light kit on the back of the booth improves visibility of the screen and mesh during washing. Better illumination can make it easier for operators to inspect image areas, identify remaining emulsion or ink residue, and verify that screens have been thoroughly cleaned.

Despite its large working area, the Econ Washout Booth is designed to fit through a standard 32" doorway, simplifying installation in existing screen rooms and production facilities where doorway clearance may otherwise make larger equipment difficult to position.

Its combination of chemical-resistant construction, practical screen-room features, large working area, and economical design makes the 48" x 48" Econ Washout Booth a dependable choice for manual screen developing, cleaning, and reclaiming operations.

Usage Tips
  • Position the booth in an area with appropriate water supply, drainage, and ventilation for the chemicals and processes being used.
  • Confirm that plumbing and drainage comply with applicable local requirements before installation.
  • Keep screen frames positioned on the raised floor during washing to prevent them from sitting directly in accumulated runoff.
  • Use the integrated shelf to keep frequently used brushes and compatible screen-reclaiming chemicals readily accessible.
  • Take advantage of the rear LED illumination when inspecting screens for remaining emulsion, ink residue, haze, or blocked mesh.
  • When using a pressure washer, maintain an appropriate distance from the mesh to avoid damaging screens.
  • Follow the chemical manufacturer's instructions for dwell time, dilution, application, and rinsing.
  • Thoroughly rinse the booth after reclaiming operations to help prevent chemical and ink residue buildup.
  • Clean the raised floor and drainage area regularly to maintain proper water flow.
  • Use appropriate PPE, including chemical-resistant gloves and eye protection, when handling screen-reclaiming chemicals.
  • If connecting the booth to a ventilation system, make sure the ventilation equipment is appropriate for the chemicals and processes used in the screen room.
  • Always follow applicable regulations for the handling and disposal of ink, emulsion, reclaiming chemicals, and wastewater.
