Premium low-cure clear plastisol specialty ink formulated for creating high-gloss gel, wet-look, water-drop, and glass-like effects, with excellent stretch, adhesion, and wash durability.

Characteristics

Avient K2430 ASI SE Gel Clear LC is a specialty clear plastisol screen printing ink designed to produce dimensional, high-gloss effects on printed garments. Formerly known as Infinite FX SE Gel Clear, this versatile clear can be used to create gel, wet-look, water-drop, and glass-like effects that add visual depth and dimension to apparel graphics.

The high-gloss formulation can be printed as a standalone clear or used as an overprint to enhance underlying colors and create a smooth, glossy surface. It can also be tinted with compatible plastisol colorants, giving printers additional flexibility for creating custom transparent and specialty-effect colors.

K2430 SE Gel Clear LC is well suited for high-density applications. For maximum dimensional effects, Avient recommends using open mesh counts with a 200–400 micron capillary film and a print-flash-print technique. A heavy flood helps completely fill the stencil while medium print pressure produces the desired ink deposit.

The low-cure formulation cures between 270°F–320°F (132°C–160°C), allowing printers to achieve specialty effects while potentially reducing production temperatures and energy consumption. It provides excellent adhesion, elongation, stretch properties, and wash durability when properly printed and cured.

Suitable substrates include 100% cotton, blends, spandex, uncoated nylon, and acrylic. For multi-color designs, SE Gel Clear should be printed in the final print position whenever possible or flashed between prints when multiple screens are required.

K2430 ASI SE Gel Clear LC is non-phthalate and supplied in a 1-gallon container for professional textile screen printing production.

Usage Tips
  • Use consistent, high-tension screen mesh and sharp-edged squeegees for the best print results.
  • For high-density effects, use an open mesh count with 200–400 micron capillary film.
  • Use a heavy flood stroke to completely fill open stencil areas with ink.
  • Print using medium squeegee pressure and a slow print stroke when building dimensional effects.
  • A print-flash-print technique can be used to increase ink deposit and create more pronounced high-density effects.
  • Print SE Gel Clear in the final print position whenever possible.
  • When multiple screens are required, flash between prints to help maintain the desired clear effect.
  • Use as an overprint to enhance the vibrancy of underlying colors while adding a glossy surface.
  • Tint with compatible plastisol colorants when custom transparent or colored gel effects are desired.
  • Commonly used for glossy wet-look and simulated water-drop effects.
  • Cure the entire ink film between 270°F–320°F (132°C–160°C).
  • Store between 65°F–90°F (18°C–32°C) and avoid direct sunlight.
  • Always test ink, substrate, print parameters, and cure conditions before beginning production.
