CCI EnviroClean Natural Citrus-Based Degreaser is a professional screen preparation cleaner designed for degreasing new and used screen printing mesh prior to emulsion coating. Its citrus-based formulation removes oils, contaminants, and residue that can interfere with proper emulsion adhesion and stencil quality.
Properly degreasing screen fabric is an important part of screen preparation because contaminants left on the mesh can cause coating problems and contribute to pinholes or premature stencil failure. EnviroClean thoroughly cleans the fabric to provide a more consistent surface for applying screen printing emulsion.
EnviroClean also helps control hard-water minerals and other contaminants that may be present in rinse water. This helps create a cleaner screen surface during preparation and can reduce the incidence of pinholes when the screen is coated with emulsion.
Part of CCI's EnviroLine® chemistry, EnviroClean features a biodegradable, phosphate-free formulation with a pleasant citrus-based odor. It is easy to incorporate into regular screen room preparation and reclaiming procedures.
For application, remove ink, blockout, and emulsion residue from the screen before degreasing. Apply EnviroClean to both sides of the mesh and thoroughly scrub using a non-abrasive pad or brush. Allow the product to remain on the fabric for approximately 1–2 minutes before thoroughly flood rinsing both sides of the screen with water.

- Remove ink, blockout, emulsion, and other reclaiming residue before applying EnviroClean.
- Apply EnviroClean to both sides of the screen mesh.
- Thoroughly scrub both sides using a non-abrasive scrub pad or brush.
- Allow EnviroClean to dwell on the fabric for approximately 1–2 minutes.
- Do not allow the degreaser to dry on the screen.
- Flood rinse thoroughly from the top of the screen downward to remove all remaining residue.
- Use a high volume of rinse water rather than relying on excessive water pressure.
- Allow the screen to dry completely in a clean environment before applying emulsion.
- Degrease new mesh before its first emulsion coating to remove manufacturing, handling, and other surface contaminants.
- Incorporate degreasing into regular screen preparation procedures to help maintain consistent stencil quality.
