CCI EnviroSolv Water Based Ink Cleaner is a professional screen printing cleaner designed for the removal of water-based and plastisol inks from screens. Part of CCI's Enviroline® chemistry line, EnviroSolv provides an effective cleaning solution for both on-press maintenance and screen wash applications.
EnviroSolv works especially well as a screen opener for dried-in water-based ink. When ink begins drying in the image area during production, the cleaner can help reopen the mesh and restore proper ink flow, making it particularly useful for shops regularly printing with water-based ink systems.
The water-based formula cleans effectively without leaving residue and features a pleasant odor. CCI also identifies EnviroSolv as a non-hazardous product, making it a practical choice for routine screen cleaning and production environments where operators want an effective alternative to more aggressive cleaning chemistry.
For press wash and screen-opening applications, EnviroSolv can be applied to both sides of the screen and wiped or squeegeed away until the residue is removed. This makes it useful for cleaning screens that will be cataloged and stored for future production.
For complete screen washing, EnviroSolv is applied to the ink side of the screen and agitated on both sides using a brush or scrub pad. The screen is then thoroughly rinsed with high-pressure water to remove remaining ink and cleaning residue.
In addition to removing ink, EnviroSolv helps protect screen mesh from deep image stains and ghosting, which can make subsequent screen reclamation easier. Its versatility as an ink cleaner, press wash, screen opener, and screen wash makes it a valuable everyday chemical for professional screen printing operations.

- Always card or scrape excess ink from the screen before applying EnviroSolv.
- For press wash or screen-opening applications, apply EnviroSolv to both sides of the screen.
- Wipe or squeegee the screen until the ink and cleaning residue have been completely removed.
- When dried water-based ink begins blocking the image area during production, use EnviroSolv as a screen opener to help restore ink flow.
- For complete screen washing, apply EnviroSolv to the ink side of the screen and agitate both sides using a brush or non-absorbent scrub pad.
- Thoroughly rinse the screen with high-pressure water after screen-wash applications.
- To reduce rag usage, CCI recommends using a non-absorbent scrub pad to liquefy the ink, then using a squeegee to move the ink to one end of the screen before wiping it away.
